Join acclaimed author and art historian Anne Higonnet and Indagare Founder Melissa Biggs Bradley for an exclusive conversation exploring the extraordinary women who transformed fashion during the French Revolution.

Together, they'll examine how style became a powerful expression of freedom, identity and social change as women like Joséphine Bonaparte, Térésia Tallien and Juliette Récamier challenged centuries of convention. Drawing from her acclaimed 2024 book Liberty Equality Fashion: The Women Who Styled the French Revolution, Anne will bring their stories to life, revealing how a single decade forever changed the course of fashion history.

The conversation will conclude with a live audience Q&A, including the opportunity to ask Anne your questions about the enduring influence of this fascinating era, and Melissa will share more about her upcoming Indagare Journey, A Fashion Lover’s Paris, which will trace the evolution of French style–from its historic roots to today’s legendary fashion houses–this November.

Permission to Use Recorded Program: Programs may be recorded by Indagare Travel and/or its third party partners for a variety of purposes, including promotional and other commercial activities, as well as for training purposes. If you elect to include either a live or a still image of yourself or your name during the Program, and if you choose to engage in the Program by asking questions or providing commentary, you understand and agree that your image, identity and/or the sound of your voice as recorded or audio or video will become part of the Program and therefore may be used by Indagare Travel and/or its third party partners for the above-described purposes without any payment or other consideration. If you participate in a Program in any of the manners described above and the Program has been individually customized or tailored for you for a fee, this paragraph does not apply and neither Indagare Travel nor its third party partners will use your your image or your identity, in video or still, and the likeness and sound of your voice as recorded on audio or video during the Program without obtaining your express consent in writing.
