Indagare Art Club: Masterpieces of Western Art: From the Parthenon to Jackson Pollock
-FULL-

*NOTE: This class is now at capacity, but please contact us at global.classroom@indagare.com if you'd like to join next year!

This comprehensive course led by art historian Page Knox cultivates the ability to “read” a work of art. Each class will examine specific monuments and masterworks and consider their social, aesthetic and political aspects, along with their artists' biographies. The course will highlight virtual tours of important galleries at the Met and MOMA and recommend primary texts for greater historical understanding. It encourages discussion and is designed to reacquaint you with some of your favorite artists and introduce you to others.
