Our Indagare Clubs offer unique opportunities for small groups of like-minded community members to pursue the subjects they love and explore destinations together each month. Enjoy curated lectures, dynamic discussions, private interactive tours and behind-the-scenes access with our experts.

Fashion Club: Fashion as Feminism: Makers, Muses and Media Mavens

Have a passion for fashion or a fascination with global style? Fashion as Feminism, with Parsons New School lecturer and fashion historian Jessica Glasscock and Indagare Founder Melissa Biggs Bradley, will examine how iconic female designers such as Elsa Schiaparelli, Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, Vivienne Westwood and Stella McCartney have used fashion to create change. Plus, an inside look at the Met Costume Institute’s About Time show, as well as private shopping experiences at Schiaparelli in Paris, Fendi in Rome and much more!

Design Club: Designers & Tastemakers

Meet such world-renowned designers and tastemakers as Michael Smith, India Hicks, Meryanne Loum-Martin, Pietro Cicognani and Alessandra Branca, and textile experts Lisa Fine and Nathalie Farman-Farma, in this series of discussions examining the latest trends, innovations and ideas in design and travel.

Cooking Club: Cooking Around the World

Cook with chefs in 10 top cooking school kitchens around the globe and learn how to prepare delicious dishes—from Puglia and Tuscany to Thailand, Kyoto, Copenhagen, Paris and beyond.

Art Club: Classics of the Italian Renaissance

With art historian Page Knox, trace the development of painting and sculpture in Florence from the origins of the Italian Renaissance into the Baroque, looking closely at works by Giotto, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Caravaggio and Bernini. If you cannot get to Italy this year, this course will transport you to the Uffizi, the Vatican, the Borghese and beyond.

Art Club: Around the World in Art: Major Exhibitions of 2020

From Leonardo da Vinci to The Reinstallation of MOMA, 2020 has been a year of exceptional exhibitions, many of which had to be rescheduled, due to COVID-19. Travel with art historian Page Knox, as she takes you on virtual tours at home and abroad for an insider’s view of top shows, with a deep examination both of major featured works and the creation of the shows themselves.

Art Club: Masterpieces of Western Art: From the Parthenon to Jackson Pollock

This comprehensive course led by art historian Page Knox cultivates the ability to “read” a work of art. Each class will examine specific monuments and masterworks and consider their social, aesthetic and political aspects, along with their artists' biographies.

French Gardens Club: The Evolution of Garden Styles through the Centuries

Horticultural expert, guide, author (and rose lover) Amy Kupec Larue will lead you on a virtual tour of four iconic Parisian gardens: The Tuileries, Parc de Bagatelle, Parc des Buttes-Chaumont and Parc Clichy-Batignolles (Martin Luther King). Through this four-part lecture series, you will gain a greater understanding of the design elements that define each period, as well as their historical importance—and their beauty. Join Amy on a journey through Paris as she retraces the evolution of garden styles that grace the City of Light! 

Art Club: Art Matters—Contemporary Art Now

In this 10-class series, award-winning art curator Natasha Schlesinger will present a survey of the most relevant and exciting contemporary art on view right now, through virtual tours of gallery and museum exhibitions and artists’ studios in New York City and beyond. She will take you from the blue-chip galleries of David Zwirner to the Whitney and MOMA, giving you an opportunity to virtually meet the artists whose work you’re viewing. Sessions will examine the most important themes in the current climate. This series is designed for both the art enthusiast and the seasoned collector and will introduce contemporary trends as well as new and established artists. 

History Club: Ancient History: Egypt, Greece and Rome

Calling all history lovers! Explore the ancient worlds of Egypt, Greece and Rome in this comprehensive examination of three of the world’s major civilizations—through the art and architecture, cultural, religious and political history, you will discover the secrets to their lasting power and influence in the region and beyond. In nine sessions, our premier guides will offer a fascinating look at the rulers of the day, the myths and mysteries, innovations and idiosyncrasies of each, while weaving dynamic storytelling, cross-cultural context and assessing the epic impact of these civilizations across time.

Cocktail Club: Cocktails Around the World

2020 truly may have been the year for building your back bar at home, rather than heading to your favorite hotel haunt, but there’s just something about a great hotel cocktail bar that gets us every time. So in 2021, travel the globe with us each month as we bring some of our favorite hotel bars—and their mixologists—to you, and learn how to concoct signature cocktails (or invent your own house specials) with their expert advice. We’ll make our way to Italy, New Orleans, Scotland, Harbour Island, New York, Mexico City and more, including a visit to the No. 1 bar in the world (hint: it’s in London and has its own house-distilled gin), learning tricks of the trade and stirring up secret recipes as we go. Whether you like your drink bitter or neat, tall and dark, infused, spicy, icy or sweet, join us and we’ll drink to that!

Wellness Club

Looking for ways to practice better mind-body health in the new year and incorporate self-care into your daily life? Join us for the ultimate reboot: A fully curated 10-month-long virtual program, featuring 12 sessions with six world-class wellness and healthy-living practitioners. Join award-winning, Rome-based cookbook author and culinary guide Katie Parla for this comprehensive virtual cooking trip through Italy. Craving Italy will feature up to eight virtual cooking classes and transport you to this beloved culinary hotspot, as you learn how to create some of Katie’s favorite regional specialties and classic recipes from Rome and Puglia to Tuscany, Sicily and more. 

Master Italian Aperitivo, pizza and pasta making, and receive wine pairing recommendations to go with every meal. 

Indagare Dutch Art Club - Master Painters in Netherlandish Art from Flanders to the Dutch Golden Age

Join art historian Page Knox to be transported to the world of kings, dukes, burghers and merchants in the Netherlands from the Northern Renaissance in Flanders to the Dutch Golden Age. This eight-class lecture series with interactive Q&A, will look at the emergence of the Dutch Republic as an international power, both economically and artistically, through an in-depth examination of the work of Flemish artists such as van Eyck, Rubens and van Dyck, as well as Dutch masters Rembrandt, Hals and Vermeer.  

Indagare French Art Club - Masterpieces of French Art from the Medieval Era to the Modern Age

Art historian Page Knox will explore French Art through the ages in 11 dynamic lectures with interactive Q&A. This comprehensive exploration of French art will delve into the work of important artists from Claude Lorraine to Claude Monet, examining the Gothic Era and the Renaissance, the Bourbon Kings, the French Revolution, the Romantic movement, Impressionism and Modernism.   

Indagare Art Club - The Medici, Power and Patronage

Join art historian Elaine Ruffolo as she charts the Medici family’s influence on the political, economic and cultural history of Florence, from the early 1400s through the golden era, in this four-class series, which includes lectures, interactive Q&A, and a live stream tour of Florence.

Indagare History Club - History’s Darkest Days: Berlin and the Third Reich

Join scholar and top Berlin guide Jamie Sewell for an exploration of Berlin’s past and Adolf Hitler’s rise and fall, between 1933 and 1945. This four-part series includes lectures, interactive Q&A and a live stream tour of many of Berlin’s most historic sites, including the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate and the Holocaust Memorial.

Indagare Art Club - The Rise of the Avant Garde: The Painters of Modern Life

Art historian Page Knox will explore the art of the “long 19th century” (1879-1914), often seen as the beginning of the modern world. In 13 dynamic lectures with interactive Q&A she will cover the changing aesthetic and cultural movements of the first half of the century and the impact of revolution, colonialism and industrialization on the work of artists ranging from Goya to J.M.W. Turner.

Indagare Cooking Club - Tasting Your Way Through Puglia with Chef Ryan Hardy

Join Ryan Hardy, chef and owner of the beloved Charlie Bird, Pasquale Jones, Legacy Records and Bumble Brew in New York City for a culinary journey through Puglia. In this special Indagare Club series, you will learn about the wines, olive oils, pastas and other specialties of this charming region in southern Italy that forms the heel of Italy’s boot.

Indagare Garden Club: Bordeaux & Périgord: The Gardens & Regions of Southwestern France

Join us for a virtual exploration of the southwestern corner of France, a region filled with charming villages, majestic chateaux with beautiful gardens, dynamic contemporary art collections and world-famous wines. Garden expert Amy Kupec Larue will guide you through Périgord and four of its most remarkable gardens, including Josephine Baker’s former chateau and the nursery that provided Claude Monet with his beloved waterlilies. You will also have the opportunity to experience Bordeaux and the impressive art on display at some of its finest wineries.

Art Club: Masterpieces of Spanish Art from the Hapsburgs to the Modern Age

In this dynamic lecture series, art historian Page Knox surveys more than four centuries of painting and sculpture in Spain—beginning with art created at the 16th-century court of Philip II, then transitioning to the Bourbon kings and the Napoleonic period. In between, you explore the lives of some of the great patrons of Spanish art, the influence of the Catholic church and two inspirational Spanish women artists.
